Sunday is Cinco de Mayo, so cheers to those who celebrate it.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that it’s Mexico’s Independence Day. It’s not; that’s September 16th.
Cinco de Mayo commemorates a victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. And it’s not even widely celebrated in Mexico. But the U.S. loves it.
