It’s National Egg Day. Believe it or not, prices have come down just a little.
It’s the first month-to-month decline since last year, so maybe we’re slowly recovering from the avian flu that killed 30 million egg-producing chickens.
A poll asked people how they prefer their eggs cooked. Not surprisingly, scrambled was #1, followed by fried.
And how do you crack an egg? Nearly six in ten say they do it on the edge of a bowl or pan, while 23% did it on a countertop—and 10% said some other way.
Like on their kid’s forehead?
Let's get on with the countdown.

But first, today's Mindbender:
An average of 2.2 people die each year in America when a (blank) falls on them.
I'll have a clue coming up.
The cost of owning a pet
I can’t imagine my life without Niles the Weirdo. Here he is, claiming ownership of a TV remote.
But how much does it cost these days to have a cat or a dog?
Brace yourself—a study found it’s WAY more than you might’ve expected.
Caring for a cat over the course of their life now costs between $20,000 and $47,000. For a dog, it’s between $22,000 and $61,000.
That averages about $1.300 a year for cats and $1,500 annually for dogs. Those numbers are up between 12% and 19% over just the last three years.
But really, can you put a price on a face like that?
Do you like your name?
When I was a kid, I wasn’t crazy about being the only Dominic in my school. As I got older, I grew to really like it.
How do you feel about yours?
A poll found only 6% of adults don’t like their name. Two percent go so far as to say they HATE it. That surprises me; I would’ve thought those numbers would be higher.
Do you have a “common” name? Two-thirds of people say they do.
Men are more likely than women to be cool with their name.
Here's a clue for the Mindbender:
Those Peanut M&Ms aren’t worth it, man.
The greatest Disney soundtracks
Even if you’re not a freak about Disney movies, you might have a favorite Disney movie soundtrack.
There’s an ongoing poll over at Ranker.com, and as of this writing, people were voting “The Lion King” as the top soundtrack.
“Beauty and the Beast” was number two, followed by “Aladdin.”
Sure, I may be showing my age, but I wore out the “Jungle Book” soundtrack album when I was in first grade. (It was #12 as of this morning.) I don’t think there’s EVER been a better movie song than “I Wan’na Be Like You.”
See the voting here, and jump in if you feel passionate about it.
And now, the answer to today's Mindbender:

They die when WHAT falls on them?
A vending machine.
I know it’s frustrating when it eats your money and spits nothing out.
But can you imagine the heckling you’ll get in the afterlife when the other souls find out you died for some Twix?
That'll do it for today's Mindbender. Thank you for being part of The Club.
Enjoy your day!
