A Memorable Mindbender
And two fun new selections for Dom's Book Club
TODAY’S MINDBENDER
The average adult has memorized five of these.
I’ll have your answer coming up.
Dom’s Book Club for July
For your fun summer reading, I’ve got a couple of strong recommendations.
This month’s fiction selection is Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel, a fascinating novel that blends mystery, literary fiction, and a touch of science fiction.
Spanning centuries and connecting seemingly unrelated lives, it explores time, memory, and the unexpected threads that tie people together. Even readers who don’t normally gravitate toward science fiction may find themselves drawn into this thoughtful and beautifully crafted story.
On the nonfiction side, I’m recommending The Lost City of the Monkey God by Douglas Preston. Part adventure story, part archaeological mystery, it follows a real expedition into the remote jungles of Honduras in search of a legendary lost city.
Having spent four days and nights in the Amazonian jungle myself, many parts of this book brought back a lot of frightening memories. It’s a reminder that despite all our technology, there are still places on Earth that feel unexplored and stories that seem almost too incredible to be true.

I don't believe in magic, a lot of superstitious hocus pocus. I'm going after a find of incredible historical significance, you're talking about the boogie man.
